2.2 Package and Cost

I bought the phone from a mobile dealer shop in Gurgaon (near Delhi). The phone cost me INR (Indian Rupees) 18,500 cash down (about USD400). A bill was included.

The phone came in a standard, largish box with containing the following:

• The phone instrument itself.
• Battery
• Charger with flat connection and adaptor for Indian-style round socket connections.
• Hands-free kit with call answer button.
• USB cable adaptor.
• 100-odd page manual written in atrocious English.
• Spare stylus.

All in all I thought it was a good deal. The phone list price seems to vary between INR 19,500 and INR 20,500, but I had my militant cousin with me, who alternately bullied and charmed the shopkeeper into giving us a decent price. Of course, I had to take her for some crappy movie afterwards, but that's another story...
